Jeremy Everett (b. 1979, USA) creates poetic works that subtly evolve beyond process and creation and investigate the intrinsic relationship an object has to space. His interventions translate into visually impacting formulations of sensual and quiet violence: delicate, measured yet powerful. Everett’s ability in creating a poetical narrative is evident, subtle yet direct, it does not spell out what should be seen but rather opens ones mind to numerous transformative possibilities. Each work exists as the fragment of a sentence, a lyrical exposé, released into the world with precise abandon. A recent artist-in-residence at Hooper Projects, Los Angeles (2015), Everett's recent solo exhibitions include FLOY at Edward Malingue Gallery, Hong Kong (2016), Double Pour at Wilding Cran Gallery, Los Angeles (2015), No Exit at Edouard Malingue Gallery, Hong Kong (2014), Buried Sky at Andrew Edlin Gallery, New York (2012), One Night Stand at Asia Song Society, New York (2012) and Flood at OFR Galerie, Paris (2012), while group exhibitions include Granpalazzo Rome, (2016) S2 at Sotheby's, San Francisco (2015), Sunset Inc. at Hooper Projects, Los Angeles (2015), Soft Off at ltd., Los Angeles (2013), and Most of My Fiction at Olga Korper Gallery, Toronto (2013). Everett currently lives and works between Los Angeles and Paris
