Emilia Kina (b. 1990) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice primarily revolves around painting and photography. In 2015, Kina graduated from the Faculty of Painting from the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In her work Kina often refers to elements and theoretical concepts of traditional painting, for instance the reoccurring motif In Kina’s work is an image-curtain which Emilia employs as a clear reference to the Renaissance concept of a painting as a window onto the world.
