Evie O'Connor

Evie O’Connor (b. 1993, Derbyshire, UK) was awarded a masters of literature in Fine Art Painting from Glasgow School of Art following her bachelor of arts degree in Fashion Textiles, London College of Fashion and a foundation diploma in Art & Design at Manchester School of Art. Evie's paintings provocatively scrutinise contemporary societal norms, challenging viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about consumerism and privilege. Constructing scenes from her own archive and digital imagery, she critiques the allure of performative affluence and the escapist fantasies imposed by society, inviting dialogue on class and aspiration in our tumultuous world.
