Juliette Mahieux Bartoli (b. 1989) is a French-Italian artist. She grew up between Paris, Washington DC, Geneva, and Rome, eventually settling in the UK. Mahieux Bartoli studied at the University of Cambridge (MA Cantab History of Art 2010) and City & Guilds of London Art School (MA Fine Art 2012). She has stated that her inspiration comes from her love of stories and myths, and her interest in the dual nature of people, both serious and playful. Her works are heavily imbued with classical motifs and highlight her interest in fabrics.
Solo exhibitions include Pax Romana, Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery (2016); Mise en Abîme, Art Bermondsey, London (2014); her work has been shown at Art Brussels (2018); and Volta Basel (2017); and is part of the Benetton Imago Mundi exhibition, currently travelling internationally.
Group exhibitions include All the Days and Nights, Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, London (2020); We Sing the Body Electric, Gallery 46, London (2019); and Nonsequitur at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, Berlin (2019). She currently lives and works between London and Rome.
