Markus Brendmoe is a Norwegian artist working in paint, pencil and graphic design. Since his debut exhibition at Haustutstillinga in 1983, he has exhibited extensively and has works in several public collections in Norway. Brendmoe's successful exhibition at the Stenersenmuseumet in Oslo (2011) saw him reinterpret Edvard Munch's The Scream and other works. His art focuses on colour, often bringing together bright and transparent hues, explosive textures, and brushstrokes that relay the presence and physicality of his process. Each work aims to form a personal relationship between artist, artwork, and audience.
